Summary
Diversity drives innovation by including varied perspectives, creativity, and consumer insights. But despite the growing number of plant-based and alternative protein companies worldwide, social equity challenges persist. Women and BIPOC entrepreneurs are severely underrepresented in this field because of systemic barriers to entry, funding, visibility, and scale. In this terrific conversation, five female founders from around the world describe their unique entrepreneurial journeys, distinct challenges, and best practices for underrepresented founders.
