Durham, N.C., USA – The Global Forum for Plant-Based and Alternative Proteins held its inaugural annual conference on December 10–12, 2025 in the heart of Research Triangle Park.

“Investing in Tomorrow’s Food: The Global Plant-Based & Alternative Protein Marketplace” the conference was an international event that convened leaders from across the food, agriculture, climate, investment, and innovation ecosystems to discuss topics like plant-based, fermentation-enabled, cell-cultivated, and insect-based proteins from a variety of perspectives including smallholder farmers and crop science, food processors, product & technology innovation, investment strategies, and policy changes. With speakers and attendees from as far away as Singapore, UK, India, and Africa, we explored how inclusive innovation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange across sectors can enable global food security, climate resilience, and equitable economic growth.
